One of the most awaited rematch in the UFC is fast approaching. I will optimize this blog for the upcoming UFC 83 George 'Rush' St. Pierre vs Matt 'The Terror' Serra II (2). All of the fight results (televised only) will be posted here. So stay tuned.

P.S. George St. Pierre, the Interim Welterweight Champion, going against Matt Serra, the UFC Welterweight Champion for the second time, and this time, it will be held in GSP's turf.

The fight card:

GSP(15-2) vs Matt Serra(16-4)

PRE FIGHT

GSP is now on his way towards the cage. Everybody is pumped up. It's time for Serra to enter the cage. Crowd boos even though Serra hasn't entered the arena. Serra looks calm as he entered the cage.

It's time for Bruce Buffer to make the announcement of the fighters.

Round 1

Touch gloves. Take down by St. Pierre! Half guard by Serra. Good defense by Serra. Full guard by Serra. GSP managed to escape into a half guard. Left hand punch by GSP. Full guard by Serra. Hard combinations by GSP. Half guard again by Serra. Serra managed to go back again to full guard. Elbow by GSP. GSP in side control now! Hammer fist by GSP. GSP is pressing Serra to the cage. Serra has a mouse under his right eye. Stand up now. Punch and take down by GSP! Side control by GSP. Kick by GSP to the body at the end of the round. Crowd cheers. All GSP in the first round.

Round 2

Touch gloves. Kick by Serra, caught by GSP. Punch by GSP. Take down by GSP, now on the cage. Full guard by Serra. Serra tries to standup but GSP prevents him. GSP kneed Serra to the body. High kick by Serra! Almost landed. Jabs by GSP. I think Serra is fatigued. Another take down by GSP. Butterfly guard by Serra. GSP in the back, side of Serra. Now in full guard of Serra. Hard punch by GSP. Serra wants to get out but being punched by GSP. Knee to the side of the body of Serra. GSP now in side control. Now again on the side back of Serra. Knees by GSP to the body. Scramble. GSP knees Serra to the body repeatedly. No answer from Serra. The ref stopped the fight! GSP is the new welterweight champion!

On the replay, Serra looked at the ref while he was being kneed by GSP. I guess that was the signal for the ref to stop the fight.

Rich Franklin (22-3) vs. Travis Lutter (9-4)

Round 1

Touch gloves. Travis has a leg of Franklin, pressing him to the cage. Travis has the back of Franklin. No hooks yet. Franklin is having a good job defending against Travis. Travis now has side control. Travis trying to mound but Franklin manages to defend against it. Side mount by Lutter. Franklin manages to get his guard against Travis. Single guard by Franklin. Travis manage to mount. Dangerous position to Franklin. Arm bar by Travis. Countered by Franklin! Beautiful! Franklin wants a stand up. Shoot by Travis, sprawl by Franklin. Travis got a leg. Rich is punching Travis to the head. Knee by Franklin as the round ends. Difficult round to score. I am giving the round to Lutter for the take downs.

Round 2

Travis is looking tired. Franklin is landing some shots. Head kick by Franklin! Wobbles Travis! Travis managed to lock the leg of Franklin. Franklin managed to escape. Travis shoots. Franklin is landing some knees. Franklin is picking Lutter apart. Travis is fatigued. Franklin has the Muay thai clinch. Crowd chants 'knee!'. Travis got a leg now. Franklin is punishing him by punches. Good punch combination by Rich. Travis is down. And it is all over. The ref stopped the fight. Franklin won via TKO.

Kalib Starnes (8-2-1) vs. Nate Quarry (9-2)

Round 1

Lunging punch by Quarry. Low kick by Quarry. Quarry is chasing Kalib, Kalib is running away. Another low kick by Quarry. Inside leg kick by Quarry. Quarry is pushing the action to Kalib. Kalib is running away. Now they clinched. Knee and punch to the head by Quarry, they separate. Punch and kick combination by Quarry puts Kalib going backwards. Now they clinched, Kalib pressing Quarry to the cage. They separate. Punches to the body by Quarry. Good leck kick by Quarry. Another leg kick with punch combinations by Quarry. Good round for Quarry. Crowd is booing.

Round 2

Kalib tried to take down Quarry but failed. They exchange punches. Crowd is getting restless, I hear some boos. Good leg kick by Quarry. Another leg kick by Quarry. Good punch and leg kick combination by Quarry. Leg kick by Kalib. Another leg kick by Quarry. Good leg kick by Quarry. Kalib has no answer to Quarry so far. Kalib catches the leg kick of Quarry, almost took him down, but failed to do. Good punch by Kalib as they separate. Kalib is now slowing down. Good leg kick by Quarry. And another. Shoot by Kalib but didn't manage to take Quarry down. Crowd is cheering 'Boring, boring', I am not sure though, but it sounds a like. End of round. Another Quarry round.

Round 3

Quarry is still pressing the action. Crowd is getting restless again. Punch and kick combination by Quarry. Hard leg kick by Quarry. Kalib is landing some lead right. Knee and punch combinations by Quarry. Another leg kick by Quarry. Quarry needs to KO or submit Quarry now to win the fight IMO, but doing nothing so far. Kick by Starnes, caught by Quarry. Crowd is now booing with 2 minutes to go. Good knee by Quarry. Kalib is circling around the ring. Crowd is booing. Kalib is now limping due to the leg kicks by Quarry Hard leg kick by Quarry. Turns Kalib the other way around. Kalib shows the middle finger. Quarry is taunting Kalib, covering his face while punching. Crowd cheers. End of round.

Quarry salutes to the fans, crowd cheers. Kalib is being booed in his home town.

When Kalib is shown in the screen, the crowd boos. When Quarry was shown in the screen crowd cheers. Wow!

Nate Quarry won via Unanimous decision. One judge score 30-24. This is my first time to hear that score in a three round fight. Crowd is really cheering to Nate Quarry.

Michael Bisping (15-1) vs. Charles McCarthy (10-4)

Round 1

Both fighters landing some punches. Knees to the head by Bisping, McCarthy taunts him after, Another knee by Bisping. McCarthy sticks his tongue out. Bisping attacking McCarthy. Big take down by McCarthy. McCarthy is now looking an armbar. Bisping is in a dangerous position. Bisping manage to gets out. Both fighters now standing up. Bisping landing some knees and ounches to McCarthy. McCarthy is not answering. McCarthy goes down, covering up, rolling, and manage to survive. End of round 1.

The fight has been stopped. McCarthy cannot continue. Michael Bisping is the winner via TKO.

Mac Danzig (17-4-1) vs. Mark Bocek (5-1) - Mac Danzig won via tapout(Rear Naked Choke)
