Battle of the Planet - Bernard Hopkins, going up against Joe Calzaghe. All I can say about this fight is that it is a difficult fight for Bernard Hopkins. Yes, for B-Hop.

Here is my prediction for the fight.

I respect B-Hop a lot, but mostly his strategy is to hit then hug. If he does that again, no doubt, he will win again via UD. But I think that Joe Calzaghe has the necessary skills to get away with that 'hug'. I think Calzaghe can outpunch B-Hop. Joe Calzaghe need to move around and use the ring. He must utilize his speed against B-Hop, and stay away on the inside because B-Hop will dominate that inside game, IMO. If Calzaghe keeps his distance away from B-Hop, then he will have a very good chance of winning the bout, and I think that's what Calzaghe will do. So my prediction is Calzaghe via UD.

Pre-fight

Joe Calzaghe is coming towards the ring, looking confident and calm. Bernard Hopkins is now walking down towards the ring, getting some boos from the crowd, and chanting, who are ya? who are ya?

Introduction of the sponsors, judges, referee, and both fighters by Michael Buffer.

Round 1

Both fighters feeling each other out. Calzaghe and Hopkins fighting each other on the inside. Right hand by Hopkins put Calzaghe down! Calzaghe get the 8 count, seems to be okay. Another right hand by Hopkins. Both fighters fighting now on the inside. Hopkins now circling the ring. Round to B-Hop.

Round 2

Another right hand by Hopkins at the start of the round. Calzaghe is having a hard time to catch B-Hop. Left hand by Calzaghe. Both fighters clinching and punching on the inside. Right hand by B-Hop. Right and left by Calzaghe. B-Hop punching back. Hopkins complained of being hit low. Hit then clinch by Hopkins. Another right hand by B-Hop, both fighters now punching on the inside. Hard round to score, but I am giving it to Hopkins.

Round 3

Hopkins now working on the inside. Jabs by Calzaghe. Both fighters now on the inside. Calzaghe landing some shots, but B-Hop sneak some good shots too.
